1. Save My Mother Please

Mia POV

“Dad, help me. Mom is sick and needs surgery. I borrowed five million dollars from you for the surgery.” I am begging my dad while crying. I am forced to do this for my mom’s safety.

My dad, Brad Brooklyn, stared at me without saying anything, while his wife, Kania Swan, stared at me with a cynical look.

“You are shameless, Mia Brooklyn. Your dad and your mom have been divorced for twenty years. Why did you suddenly come and ask Brad for money?” Kania was very cynical to me.

I was so hurt listening to Kania’s words. I wouldn’t have come to this place if it weren't for my mom. I had no other choice. My mom has a tumor in her head. The doctor gave no option other than surgery, which was very expensive. My dad is the only one who can be asked for help.

I have been living with my mom in a miserable economic condition since my dad met Kania Swan and claimed that she was his mate. My dad is a Beta of the Crescent Moon Pack. He serves Alpha Regan Dementor. My dad has never provided for me since he married Kania. I struggle alone with my mom. This is the lowest point in my life because I have to ask for help from my dad after he neglected me for so long.

“I have no choice, Kania. Please, I need help. My mom will die if surgery is not performed. I will do anything to get money. I will do anything to save my mom.”

I looked hopefully at my dad, hoping he would still love me as his daughter.

“No way. Do you think we are your source of money? I have to pay for Jessica’s life. I don’t have money for your mom’s surgery! Sooner or later, she will die. You better find a job that makes more money than begging us!” Kania spoke very cruelly.

I was so heartbroken by Kania’s words. Why did she have to say something so hurtful? Even though my mom never did anything wrong to her.

“You can’t talk like that, Kania. I don’t want to lose my mom!” I snapped.

“Then you just look for another place! I won’t give you money!” Kania pushed me hard until I almost fell.

I didn't expect my dad to do anything to defend me. At least he could do something, but he was just silent. He didn't even feel guilty for neglecting me all this time.

"Mom, Dad!" I heard Jessica's voice, my step-sister. She hated me so much, and so did I. She had taken away all my happiness. Jessica was walking down the stairs in a hurry. "I have an idea."

"What kind of idea, Honey?" Kania was being so sweet to Jessica.

"Do you remember that Alpha Regan wanted to match me with his son? Why don't we match Mia with Alpha's son?" Jessica looked at me with a grin. "We can lend money if Mia accepts this match."

I frowned. Alpha's son? As far as I know, Alpha Regan has two sons. Who is he going to match me with?

"What do you mean, Jessica?" I asked out of curiosity. "I'll do anything as long as I can get money for my mom's surgery."

Kania smiled as if she understood what Jessica meant. I looked at my dad. He was pretty surprised by Jessica's idea.

"Alpha Regan will marry his son, Daemon Dementor, his first son and a disgrace to Alpha Regan because he is paralyzed. I don't want Jessica to marry a paralyzed man even though he is an Alpha descendant. So, replace Jessica, and then you will get the money." Kania smiled evilly at me.

Daemon Dementor? I heard rumors that he was Alpha Regan's first son with his first mate. When giving birth to Daemon, his mate died, while Daemon's condition was disabled since birth. No one knows about him because Alpha Regan never showed him to anyone. I only know about Alex Dementor, Alpha Regan's second son with his new mate. Should I accept this arranged marriage? Marry a disabled man? I have no choice. I have to make my mom get better.

"I'll do it. I will accept the arranged marriage. I will marry Daemon Dementor, but I want the money to be transferred to my account as soon as possible because my mom must be treated by a doctor immediately." I have decided on this.

Jessica and Kania smiled at each other. They were happy because I had to make a difficult choice. I will not regret it. I will do anything for my mom. Just marry a disabled man. That is not a difficult thing. I looked at my dad, who did not say anything. I was so disappointed in him because he could not do anything for me. I hated him.

“Congratulations, Mia. You’re getting married,” Jessica said right in my ear. “But to a disabled man.” Jessica laughed at me. She was so satisfied because she had made a joke about my life. I couldn’t do anything. I hate her so much.

I was wearing a wedding dress and standing in front of the altar. Alpha Regan sat in the front row with Luna Betty Calment. They smiled at the wedding ceremony guests, but I didn’t see his son. Alex or Daemon. Several guests who were members of the Crescent Moon Pack were also present. My dad stood next to Alpha Regan, while Kania and Jessica sat not far from where I stood. They were very enthusiastic about this wedding. Only I was not happy with this wedding.

A few moments passed, and we all waited for the groom to arrive, but the groom still hadn’t shown up for almost two hours. Was this a joke? Did they deliberately want to embarrass me here?

“Brad, call Daemon,” Alpha Regan looked annoyed by the long wait. The guests were already whispering.

My dad immediately turned to get out of this place, but from outside, I heard the sound of someone's footsteps and the sound of a stick that was so clear. A man walked with a limp. His skin was so clean and healthy. I was stunned when I saw the extraordinary handsomeness of the man. He wore a black suit, and a flower was in his pocket. Was he a Daemon Dementor? But he was not paralyzed, as Jessica said. It's just that he was not perfect.
